venice explorers
i felt that this was my best project because it told a lot about exportation and the people that made it possible in Venice. This project to more time than the rest but I think this time was well deserved. this project tells about explorers but in a way that all Jr High kids can understand.
In this page I told the story about Scipio Africanus. He was mostly famous in ancient Rome because he killed Hannibal. he killed Hannibal in the second Punic war, at the battle of Zema. he was only 17 when he went to war with this as his main goal. this day that Hannibal was killed he was among 60,000 other people.
In this project i told about how when Sir Lancelot was only 18 he came to Camelot with his two cousins, Bors, Lional, and his half brother Ector. In the story i read he did this because of King Ban's support for Arthur in his youth.
What I learned from this was that Sir Lancelot was a very interesting man. He kidnapped Queen Guinevere because he couldn't fight for her, he took her to his castle so she wouldn't be harmed. He loved Guinevere he had an affair with her earlier in his knighthood. We don't know exactly how mad Arthur was at Sir Lancelot but in time he did forgive him. Sir Lancelot always was true to his king and died at the foot of his grave after a long while of graving that he was to late to help his king and his good friend Sir Gawain. Sir Gawain and Sir Lancelot did have a fight though when Sir Lancelot Sir Gawain Sir Lancelot many times but the in the end gave up and forgave him. fought
was trying to save the queen he cutoff the head of Sir Gawain's two brothers.
Venice Explorers In this project I learned about Alvise Cadamaso , Marco Polo, and John Cabot. Although they were all explorers that were born in Venice none of them explored for Venice. Alvise was out to make a name for himself and find gold. Marco was out to sail with his father and uncle to show them he could do it too. John Cabot was sailing with his son to make a name for there family. All of these people were her to do two things find new land and make some money.
